This blog is about walking through through the desert periods of our lives. I call it walking through the wilderness. God sometimes leads His children through a wilderness experience to get them to something higher. The wilderness is a terrifying place, a place where comfort is hard to find, provision is scarce, where nothing is certain. Nothing, that is, except Him.

The Wilderness Companion Study Guide - More Wilderness Stories!

Is Your Life Falling Apart All Around You? Are You Helpless to Stop It? You May have Just Entered “The Wilderness.” It is a time like no other in your life. Every comfort is stripped away. Everything is outside of your control. Nothing is as it was. You just want your life back.

If these things describe your life, you may have entered the wilderness. Every Christian must pass through the wilderness on their way to the Promise Land. In the Bible we read the story of Moses leading God’s people through a vast wilderness for over 40 years. Jesus was led into the wilderness, and we are led into the wilderness as well. But there is good news: there is a purpose for you in the wilderness.

In a wilderness season, God is proving that He and His Word are both true, and that you can trust Him. He is taking more of your fleshly nature, the part of you that wants the things of this world, out of the equation and filling that empty space with His glorious spirit. The end result is a lot less of you and a whole lot more of Him as well as an increased understanding of Him.

This workbook is a study guide to help anyone who wants a closer walk with the Lord, and a better understanding of the hard times in their lives as well as those going through wilderness seasons of their own. It will help you examine what is really in your heart, to discover your purpose in God’s Kingdom, and look at reasons God’s people are often led into the wilderness to be refined. With questions designed to make every Christian examine their lives, The Wilderness Companion Study Guide will help you move more quickly into your Promise Land. With numerous faith building personal testimonies and lessons, you will find studying your way to a more intimate walk with the Lord both interesting and edifying.

Jobs in Alaska

A friend emailed me the following link today, saying there are pipeline jobs in Alaska, where you work two weeks on and two off. I am not looking for work, since the Lord has forbidden me to work a job, so I'm passing it along in case it may help someone else.

The Healing Companion Is Published!

The second book in the Companion Series!

Some wildernesses are physical.

Have you struggled with the promises of healing in the Holy Bible, not understanding why you could not make them yours? Have you, like me, tried reading, listening, confessing, and everything else you can think of, only to fall back into sickness again?

Would you like to learn the truth about Biblical healing, once and for all, in a way that is understandable and easy to apply to your own life?

Walk with me through my healing journeys and learn what God taught me about healing as I struggled to understand, and came out healed!

Book is Done ! Waiting on Finalized Cover

I am happy to announce that The Wilderness Companion is finally completed! I have ordered the finalized cover from the designer, and will have it in the next 24 hours. It will take probably another week (maybe less) to get a proof copy in the mail before the book can be made available for purchase.

I will be talking about what is in the book tonight on Straight Talk.

Down to Correcting Typos - Nearly Done!

The Wilderness Companion is nearly done, the formatting is taking longer than I expected! The Lord actually said the book was "done" a few weeks back, but I want it to be as nice as possible when it is released. Am correcting final typos this morning and ordering finalized cover.

I still have to order a proof copy and approve it before they will allow it to be released, but am expediting it as much as possible.

Thanks everyone for your patience - many have expressed an interest in the book, and through months of long nights writing, your encouragement spurred me to keep pushing through until it was completed. God bless all of you!

Pre-Release Review of The Wilderness Companion

The Wilderness Companion will be released next week and available for purchase.  I will post a link here on the blog for those who wish to order a copy. I am really excited about comments and feedback I've gotten from friends who have kindly read over it ahead of time for me, and to my Editor for editing. Without his help, this book would not be what it is.

Thank you, Brian, for your unselfish service to God's people and to your fellow servant.

Here is the first pre-release review:

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” (Mat 11:12) Have you ever wondered what this “violent force” looks like? The Wilderness Companion is the living example of such violence lived out. This book is about the violent seizure of the Kingdom of God, and the events that surround refusing to let go at any cost.

I believe this book is essential in preparing you for your own wilderness journeys. It is a straightforward and honest look at real experiences in the wilderness in all of its humanity and spirituality.  It is commonly said, “Experience is the best teacher”, but I tell you, “Other people’s experiences are the best instruction, but you still have to do the lesson!”  Wise counsel and encouragement in your journey await you in this book of the events of the wilderness experiences of Glynda Lomax.

The founders of the Biosphere projects in the Arizona desert set out to create the perfect ecosystem for natural life to thrive and be studied. A curious thing happened in the decades that followed, as healthy trees growing in ideal conditions began to fall over by themselves. Though the trees had no disease and grew remarkably faster than their wild counterparts, because they had no wind in their protected environment, they became top-heavy and never developed roots.

The winds of change are blowing across America and the world. Right now the Spirit of God is readying the people of God, because a storm is coming. This book is a tool in God’s hand to speak into your wilderness experience, and to “flesh out” an example of what a wilderness experience looks and feels like in our modern world. The focus of this book is not upon Glynda or her struggles, not even on what good spiritual fruit it produces, but on our Wilderness Companion: the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

Many Will Not Heed the Warnings - A Word the Lord Spoke to Me in July 2009

Another word I found while going through the journals for the book.

Indeed My judgments are falling in the earth now. Many seemingly "natural" disasters shall occur as well as famines and plagues. I desire you to be safe from these so I will warn you as they approach so you may warn others and be prepared yourself.

Realize many will not heed the warnings you give them. They will not believe I have spoken to you and will perish as a result. You cannot prevent this and it will not be your fault when it happens though many may try to blame you.
